Airborne Review via Smiley360

Posted on

I applied for the Airborne mission via Smiley360 awhile ago and was not initially chosen to participate but at some point they needed to fill more spaces so they asked me to join. Between the holidays and my dog’s surgery I’ve been quite busy so I never got a chance to share that I was on a mission with the Airborne product. 😦

Each person participating had a chance at receiving 1 of 3 products from Airborne. I received a bottle of 32 chewable tablets in the berry flavor.

In the past I have only used Emergen-C products. (Jen scored some super hot deals on Emergen-C awhile ago but has handed her entire inventory over to me because she hates the taste. lol) I, on the other hand, like Emergen-C but it has been the only type of product of its kind that I have tried. Plus, I have only used it in liquid form so I was excited to try something different.

I am overall very pleased with this product. I like the taste and I find that the chewable form is a lot more convenient than mixing a powder with water. I can throw these tablets in my purse and chew them on the go if need be.

They claim to “help support your immune system” though in their disclaimer they that state that the FDA has not evaluated this claim and Airborne is not intended to “diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease”. So based on that it is pretty hard to determine if this type of product actually benefits the immune system. It may be a classical case of mind over body? I also don’t care for the fact that the product contains artificial ingredients such as Red 40 and Blue 1.

At any rate, I would buy this product in the future. Of course, it would have to be for a great price that I scored with sales and coupons. 😉

Quilted Northern Ultra Soft Toilet Paper Review

Posted on

quilted northern graphic

I was really excited to be apart of the Quilted Northern Ultra Soft toilet paper mission via Smiley360. Who doesn’t benefit from free toilet paper?! And let’s not forget about the bottle of hand sanitizer, tin of mints and additional coupons to pass out to friends. 🙂

I am not really picky when it comes to toilet paper. If it is on sale and there are coupons available to pair with the deal, I’ll go that route rather than stick with one particular brand.

I happened to have a package of Cottonelle CleanCare 12 big roll on hand so I compared it with the Quilted Northern Ultra Soft toilet paper. I find that the Quilted Northern has a little bit more toilet paper per package with 253.3 sq ft. and the Cottonelle only has 230.4 sq ft. But I find that the Cottonelle is a bit softer so if that is something that is particularly important to you when buying toilet paper you’ll want to keep that in mind. Not a deal breaker for me, though!

Overall, I feel that the Quilted Northern does its job and I am pleased with this product. If I find a good deal on Quilted Northern in the future I will definitely buy this brand.

Crowdingfunding with a personal cause

Crowdfunding

Have you heard of Crowdfunding? I recently learned about it in the January issue of All You magazine. It is a newer concept where several people share the financial burden of a family member, friend or even a complete stranger by networking and pooling their money together, via the internet. These efforts can also help organizations raise money for their causes. Campaigns include raising money for adoption and fertility treatments, disaster relief, startup companies, memorial funds, supporting budding artists, defraying the cost of medical expenses, and educational funds set up for children who have lost a parent at a young age.

There are several websites set up to create a campaign depending on your needs.

GiveFoward helps others with health-related and medical expenses.

YouCaring is a totally free site dedicated to personal causes.

AdoptTogether helps families raise money for adoption fees.

MoolaHoop helps women raise money to start their own businesses.

GoFundMe and Indiegogo are open to various projects.

FundAnything is also open to pretty much anything and is even supported by Donald Trump, who has personally donated to causes that have touched him.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to get the help they need that otherwise would be impossible.

I would like to invite you to read the story about my mother in law, Deb, who currently lives in Florida but would like to relocate to Ohio where she is originally from. She is struggling to come up with the money that is required to make such a long distance move. Her children have a campgain set up for her on YouCaring to raise money to help offset the financial burden she is faced with. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated.

Thank You!
